Hi, I’m Alex. I was born in a small city in Kazakhstan. To chase education opportunities, I took off to Russia to study in the famous School of Physics and Mathematics in Novosibirsk. After graduating, I got accepted to the best tech university in Russia, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. Due to the engineering and heuristical nature of ML it has become my subject of interest.

During my career in Machine Learning, I

  • Won a number of competitions, becoming 5th on Kaggle,
  • Used DL to automate driver checks and customer support in Yandex.Go,
  • Helped multiple industrial plants add ML to their manufacturing flow at Mechanica AI,
  • Developed open-source tools to deploy ML models (MLEM) and manage Model Registry in Git (GTO),
  • Helped few startups to build quick prototypes and enhance their ML pipelines,
  • Taught Competitive ML & Production ML streams at one of largest offline courses at CIS, as well as in Harbour.Space,
  • Co-authored “How to win a Data Science Competition” course for Coursera with 100k+ students.
